Summary
She’s the daughter of Death Eaters, a former lover of Barty Crouch Jr., and a witch the Ministry refuses to trust. Called in to protect Hogwarts after the Quidditch World Cup attack, Ellena soon learns she’s nothing more than bait—dangling in the Ministry’s hands to lure Barty out of hiding.
But Barty has his own plan. Disguised as Mad-Eye Moody, he plays the long game, slowly unraveling every defense she’s put up since she left him, but every time she pleads with him to run away, she sees something in his eyes. A flicker of hesitation.
