The sky lit up in shades of blue and red as his fingers grazed over Robin's arm. She looked over at him, not looking nearly as scared as she should.
“Fireworks. I forgot they did them on New Year’s.”
Steve frowned, his hand still on her elbow as he looked up. An explosion of white twinkled across the sky. It reminded him of the way the skylight had looked after they escaped the Russian bunker. His stomach churned.
“Happy New Year’s Robin.”
