Summary
Every night, the Goon lets go of control over his body for one hour. They tie his victim up, usually, as this “insanity” occurs. Legends quickly spread, of the Dark Slinger, driven “mad” every night. Ready to rampage all he sees if not for Dr. Blakk’s silver chains keeping him locked tight, in nice quarters that double as his nightly cell.
That is, till Eli Shane meets the real myth, breaks out of his own cell, and meets this mad man. To his surprise, he is a boy. And his name, his real name, is Junjie Yang.

Tad fell, Junjie is protecting the East, and the Shane gang have down-time. But Eli doesn't know how to live day-by-day without some villain to chase after.
Then Dr. Blakk threatens to tell Slugterra about the Surface, and he realizes that maybe he shouldn't have gotten used to pushing his trauma to the side to deal with later. But how could he not when he was a Shane: born to keep secrets, be a protector, be constantly in danger, and do anything to keep others safe?

Eli and Kord are captured by Dr. Blakk. Unlike the other times, Trixie and Pronto aren't quick to break them out.
The family of friends realize that they are fighting for their home; and that at some point, they were going to get hurt. Wearing that 5-pointed badge guaranteed it.
Definitely not canon to the TEAL universe :)
