Summary
Not everything that ends represents an end. Sometimes an end can represent a new beginning. Claire's death, Peyton's abandonment that marked Mac far more than he wanted to admit-and yet the work managed to save him, to force him not to wallow in memories. And it worked, at least until Peyton decided to return to New York.
“Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, but everything is transformed.” Behind this phrase lies a great truth for Detective Taylor. A murder charge against him, old ghosts returned from the past, kidnappings, bereavements difficult to accept.
Perhaps the love problems were the ones to worry about the least.

Adam gulps before replying. “You know damn well there is.” Lindsay laughs.
“I’m not sure you deserve it. You could…” She tilts her head for effect and purses her lips. “Earn. It.”
In the aftermath of the events of Not What it Looks Like (S3 ep 2), Adam's protectiveness goes too far and Lindsay decides to show him just how much she isn't a damsel in distress in need of saving.
