Gin Akutagawa never went to school, as far as she could remember, she always lived in the slums with her brother, Ryuunosuke, and their friends. School was a privilege she had never known, even having a daily meal was a luxury. Her only purpose in life had been surviving. Back then, she would've given everything (except her brother) to live a normal life, to go to school like normal kids, to go home and find a hot meal on the table, to be able to wear clothes that didn't have holes in them and have the comfort of sleeping in a building that shielded her from both the rain and the wind.

This is pure Atsushi and Gin friendship, it focuses on those two, and sometimes Kyouka too. She does live with Atsushi, but don't worry, she can keep a secret. So now, forget Shin Soukoku, Akutagawa Gin is taking her brother's place. She and Atsushi will rock this taking missions together and be better than what Dazai had thought of. She knows she and Atsushi will be better. They're awesome like that. Just... don't tell her brother that she adopted Atsushi as her mom. Yea, that's right, Atsushi will have the mom-energy in this.
Dazai will be having no idea why Atsushi is suddenly so eager in taking missions with Akutagawa. He's just happy that his little protege finally accepts the missions. He knew it was a good idea to pair the two up. It's just sad that Dazai won't know it's Gin for a long time.
And Ranpo? He knows all. He already knows what is going but is willing to keep it a secret. For a price of course.
