' “You’re…a muggleborn?” Jeff asks quietly.
Annie’s brow wrinkles. “That’s the word for non-magical right? Yeah, I guess I am,” she says. “What’s the big deal? Britta was also muggleborn right?” She points out, suddenly feeling sick and not from the food she ate.
“Well, she went to Gryffindor,” Jeff explains. “Um, Slytherin is usually a pureblood house, meaning only kids of magical families.”
Annie’s heart sinks and she looks around, noting how familiar all of the students seem with each other. They must already know each other, or each other’s families.
“Is…it okay that I’m not?” Annie whispers.'Or,
Annie Edison has had strange things happen around her all her life, and then one day, a letter arrives by owl that explains she's a witch, due to begin her training at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, when it's revealed that she's the first ever muggleborn to be sorted into Slytherin house, her seven years at Hogwarts, alongside her new friends, are going to be anything but simple.
One school year per chapter, you do not need to have read the books to understand this story, however, having seen the movies will be helpful. Hope you enjoy!
