Gotham is never quiet, the holidays are no exception to that fact.
As Tim and Dick begin to settle into the new normal, two crime sprees test the strength of their trust.
A string of robberies that leave them struggling to find answers, as bodies begin to appear around the city. With a concerning connection to an enemy that has Dick worried for Tim's safety.

Dick enters the apartment, going straight to the stairwell, pulling out his grapple.
“5th floor, third door to the right.” Tim states shooting his own grapple to the correct floor.
Dick follows, racing down towards the ajar door. Bloody footprints are soaked into the carpet, tapering off before they get to the stairwell. The blood is browning, it’s been there awhile.
Tim arrives at the door first, and slips inside.
“Robin, wait!”

Now Dick Grayson stands in the aftermath, doing his best to hold everything together as his father sits in a coma.
Tim Drake watched Batman fall, now as he watches Dick Grayson take up the mantle, he knows he needs to help. He just doesn't know how.

Tim finds himself vaguely grateful for the solid back of the shelf, he was already gonna be one big bruise, the landing could have been worse.
Sounds of fighting erupt behind him, and he tilts his head back to get a look at the commotion. Batman is there, expertly taking down the goon before they can take advantage of Tim's stunned state. Tim gets a little thrill of excitement, seeing Batman fight, quickly replaced by dread.
Oh he was in trouble.

Long after Alfred has dragged himself to bed, when Tim is sitting by Bruce's bedside and staring at his bandaged, broken body, he realizes that Dick doesn't know. He doesn't know what Bane did to Bruce, probably doesn't even know who Bane is. And suddenly, he realizes that Dick should be here for this. He should be with Tim, sitting at Bruce's bedside and impatiently waiting for any sign of life past the beeping of his heart monitor.
In the middle of the night, Dick gets a call from his younger brother.

After a fight with Bruce that goes too far and has catastrophic results, Dick has to pick up the pieces and step into a role he's not entirely sure he's ready to take.

The moment the man finally leaned back out of his space, straightened up to his full height, Dick stood as well. He hauled off and gave him a pretty solid right hook, and although Slade hardly even stumbled, it was satisfying.
Slade straightened again, looked him in the eye, and merely nodded.
“That one is free, Robin,” He told him, “Next time, though, I assure you we will fight."
“I can live with that.”
