Hikari and Agnea worry for Temenos. He is still deeply mourning his lost lamb, and has barely said a word since Kaldena's defeat. At Agnea's request, Hikari comforts him under the guise of keeping watch for monsters. Hikari uses what he has learned from his friends to draw out the inquisitor's sorrows. The two speak of grief and loss, uncovering a connection that neither yet has the words to describe.

Now, ninety years later, Solistia has become the domain of the Wicked God. No longer is Aelfric spoken of, the Flamebringer’s name little more than a curse. But in one last breath of hope for mankind, Aelfric gives them a gift- he chooses a new hero, one that would stand up against Vide’s champion, the Witch.
That truth would soon come to bear as he finds out the true identity of the Witch, a man he grew fond of broken down by endless years of torture under Vide’s thumb. Will Crick be able to bring Temenos back to the light?
Is there still hope left for the man he used to know, or is he too far gone?
