Summary
Crystal should figure out how to make friends that aren't her neighbours, she thinks, but then her friend Suzie comes from next door to vent about her relationship and she's suddenly so glad she's here. She should really find more friends from outside the building, she reflects, but then her ex (who was also her ex-neighbour) asks her to help her get things from Home Depot for the new house she has with her now-fiancée, and that's outside of the building, technically.
But maybe when she starts dating again they'll be from somewhere else. Maybe not, though—this was probably the single-most lesbian apartment complex in the world—but it's nice to dream.

Summary
Daya Betty and Kori King, friends and co-captains of roller derby team "The Bad Bettys". In a city with multiple bustling teams, roller derby isn't something they just do as a fun pass-time. Daya is dead set on winning and nothing but, and Kori just wants her friend to be happy (she's scary when she's mad). The girls decide that the best way to win is to recruit some new girls and liven the team up again. During the new round of tryouts, the team recruits one of Daya's old friends: a girl named Lydia Kollins, who's an insanely talented skater, a little aloof, and, in Kori's eyes, devastatingly beautiful. As Kori and Lydia begin to grow closer and feelings start to get more complicated, they'll have to learn to keep their feelings off of the rink and discover if they can truly be both teammates and lovers.

“Where are you going?!”Dada just beamed as she walked towards the front door. What was she supposed to say? She just opened the door, turning back to see her roommates. She shook her head and shrugged helplessly, she couldn’t wipe the aching grin from her face as she said:
“Tia.” Like it was obvious, the easiest thing in the world, not what she had been avoiding. “I’m going back… I’m going to Tia.” And without another word, she was out the door. Dada ran to her car, hopping in as fast as she could and hitting shuffle on a playlist, Style (Taylor’s Version) played first. She pulled out the driveway, tires screeching.
At the same time, Tia walked out of her room, beaming at the floor, unable to meet the other girl's eyes.

Well, actually, she doesn't want her coworkers to know that she likes them, and that her pining after them would be the thing that'd kill her. And... well, being killed by something as small as some crushes sounds a bit dramatic, too.
She'll amend that first statement, then: Crystal Methyd and Gigi Goode will definitely cause her to melt into a puddle of yearning and embarrassment on the ground of their office and she does NOT want them to be there for it. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for her, they seem to be rather interested in being around her. For some reason.
(a.k.a. Jackie's obliviousness and overthinking gets in the way of Crystal and Gigi's attempts to flirt with her, but they will persevere.)
