Summary
The Battle of Ostagar ended in fire and blood, but King Cailan Theirin survives, rescued from the brink of death by an unexpected ally. Scarred, humbled, and stripped of the certainty of kingship, he joins the Wardens on their quest to confront the Blight. As Ferelden teeters on the edge of chaos, Cailan must navigate a world he once ruled while forging uneasy alliances, confronting the legacy of his father, and discovering what it truly means to lead—not only as a Warden, but as the King that Ferelden deserves.
This is a Fix-It fic where Cailan does not die at the Battle of Ostagar, and is instead rescued before he can succumb to his injuries. There will be lots of character development. Consider this fanfiction to be highly canon-divergent.

Summary
“He wants, in no uncertain terms, an heir to the throne.”
Oh, Alistair knows. He absolutely knows. The king has been pulled aside by countless advisors — either knock up the apostate or throw her back in the Circle or the Deep Roads. Each time, he thinks briefly of the Hellish figure of the broodmother — her unnaturally swollen belly. The throne is no place for a witch.
“Mm,” Alistair replies helpfully, because his mouth can't form anything else. “That's… something."
The queen sighs, long-suffering and put upon. “It’s an obligation, my lord,” she snarks with a roll of large, dark eyes. “You are familiar with the concept, yes?”
He thinks only of black ink hair and elven ears. “Intimately.”
Perhaps, the wrong word for this particular discussion.

Summary
The Fifth Blight had ended and Ferelden was beginning to rebuild. With Alistair Theirin crowned as king and Caitriona Cousland as his queen, the nation celebrated a union fit for legend of the two Grey Wardens turned royal lovers. Yet, behind the facade of royal splendour, their marriage was forged not from love, but from duty and sacrifice.
Determined never to fall in love, Caitriona had resigned herself to her fate as Alistair's queen. At least, until a fateful journey to Vigil’s Keep to assist the Grey Wardens. And Alistair, having spent his whole life under the orders of another, begins to learn that being king allows him certain freedoms he never would have expected.
Beneath the weight of expectations and loyalty to the throne, desires and temptations arise that will challenge the foundations of their lives.

Summary
Teagan comes to visit his brother and sees that Alistair sleeps in a stable instead of the castle and is pretty much ignored by everyone (I'm thinking Alistair is maybe six or seven here). Teagan chews Eamon out for treating a child that was entrusted in his care like this and decides to take care of Alistair himself and of Alistair's sister Goldanna as well.

Summary
Gwen Cousland agrees with Alistair's reasoning when he breaks up with her at the Landsmeet. Why, then, is she so achingly lonely when she returns to Vigil's Keep? Through letters penned by Gwen and her companions, we watch her struggle with leadership, mourn the connections she forged during the Blight, and try to find her own identity as Warden Commander without Alistair.
This is a fic celebrating my personal ten year anniversary of getting into Dragon Age! It covers ten years of time between Origins and Inquisition, and specifically my fic Reunion. Although Gwen and Alistair's relationship is one focus of this fic, this story takes place between them breaking up and getting back together.

Summary
The Blight has ended, and now Alistair sits on the Fereldan throne, in a sham of a marriage with his half-brother's widow—none of it by his own choice. But that's okay. He's too busy to dwell, what with all this very important, kingly paperwork he has to do.
That's when he senses it—the familiar tug of another tainted being in Denerim.
And the last person he ever wants to see again.
Still, he doesn't have time to care about all that, or the ensuing parade of old travel companions dropping in on flimsy pretenses to check up on how he’s doing (and make sure he’s not sitting on the throne in his underlinens, eating his feelings and a whole wheel of cheese). He's got important work to do.
Like figuring out how to avoid this awkward question of producing an heir…

Summary
The Archdemon’s fall was supposed to end the Blight. Instead, its death cracked the world open. The dead rose in Denerim before the cheers had even faded—men, women, Wardens—and the plague spread faster than fire across the Bannorn.
Seven years later, Thedas belongs to the zombies. Cities are drowned in rot, nations burned to ash, and the Grey Wardens are scattered to ruins. Alistair fights to keep a handful of survivors alive. Ophelia Trevelyan builds weapons out of scrap and hope. Together they bear the weight of a promise: in death, sacrifice… but what happens when death doesn’t stay dead?
This is not the Blight you remember.

Summary
She knows she’ll be hated. There will be a lot of nobles in Denerim’s court who will tell the King he should consider a new wife. That’s unimportant, right now, when Adela thinks of her father’s dying words. If she’s going to make anyone proud, it’ll be by ending all Blights.

Summary
Dru Tabris was never meant to survive. After killing a nobleman in the name of vengeance, all that waited for her was dead. Until fate intervened. Conscripted into the Grey Wardens, she is thrust from the executioner’s rope into a war against ancient monsters stirring beneath the earth.
The Blight spreads like rot, and when betrayal from within leads to the king’s death, Dru and Alistair, a fellow warrior, are all who remain. Hunted by the crown they once served, they become fugitives in a land teetering on ruin.
Their only hope lies in a fraying alliance of mages, mercenaries, and outcasts—each with secrets of their own. To end the Blight, Dru must unite a broken kingdom, face the ghosts of her past, and confront a destiny written in blood.

Summary
Victory is a strange concept. The end of the blight, technical victory though it was, still doesn’t feel like one, not to him at any rate. Not with all he's lost. But returning to Redcliffe, as King no less, that DOES feel like a victory.
He’s just not sure what it’s OVER.

Summary
Eris Cousland was an oddity. Unlike other noble ladies her age, she had trained in the art of swordplay, and she wouldn’t trade anything for it. Yet her penchant for the blade wasn’t the only thing that saved all of Thedas from the Blight. No, it was something much closer to her heart. This little something just happened to be named Alistair.

Summary
"My father used to make that joke constantly," she remarks with a smile so sad he doesn't think it should count. "'Rendon Who? Rendon Who?'" He can hear the imitation in her voice, even if he has nothing to compare it to. "And Uncle Rendon hated it."
"Perhaps that's why he killed him," Zevran says without really thinking it through, and she sucks in a breath, jaw tight, before all of a sudden she laughs, and relief floods him like a poison.
