Summary
And so, after millennia of suffering and pain, the royal family of the Noldor was reunited. The three houses had returned to the world, their bright eyes and souls graced the living once more.
All was going smoothly, and would have been perfect if not for one absence, a hole left on the tapestry that could possibly destroy all of its unity. It was perceptible on Prince Fingon’s expectant gaze, which slowly diminished as time passed, in the tired gaze and trembling hands of Prince Turgon, on Princess Aredhel’s tight smile as she talked to her son, on Prince Argon’s confused and impatient expression, on Lady Anairë’s silence and distant self.
The High King that had wounded The Enemy by himself had not returned. For some he was still the High King, for others he was a Prince, for most he was a hero deeply grieved. No matter the title, the fact was that Fingolfin had not been reborn.

Summary
He tries to avoid his own people. There are other elf-spirits here too, the hosts of his father still, and the host of each doomed son, but they are faint, indistinct things, not quite close enough to touch. He does not want to see them, and shifts away at each approach, and they fade further from his view, blending into the grey walls of Mandos, hazy echoes of what had been and what might be. He would be the same to them, he has gathered, and thought better of it; he does not want to exist, to them. He does not want to exist, at all. His heart is gone, and his mind has gone with it, all frozen over by the gnashing, vicious ice, the deadened sky, his dead son. Dead. One, one, likely all. They are all dead. That is why they are here.
And then Fingon appears, bleeding and blazing and broken, the fire melting away the ice coating his heart and unlatching each lock, and Fingolfin is a father again.

Summary
“Perhaps you indulged them with too many sweets, you mean?” Anaire teased.
Fingolfin had to laugh. “I cannot help it,” he said. “They are so precious and lovely. I want them to be happy”.
“They are happy,” Anaire said. She pushed the curtains around the four poster bed back. “And they are spoiled,” she added with a grin.
“They deserve spoiling!” Fingolfin began to undress, taking off his boots and trousers. Then he paused, suddenly anxious.
“Is something wrong dear?” Anaire, who had gotten into bed, looked at her husband with concern.
“No, of course not,” Fingolfin replied. “It is just…” his voice faltered, his hands fell to his sides. “I couldn’t bear it if anything happened to them”.Series

Summary
The wind blew against Fingolfin’s face as he took his usual path among the dark tents flung like burnt charcoal against the endless white. Not for the first time he wondered where he was leading these people. His father had claimed his crown by promising the Noldor safety, abundance and light. He had kept his word. What promises could Fingolfin make now to these starving, disheartened people? What save darkness and revenge?
Trapped in a long snowstorm on the Helcaraxë, Fingolfin fights against famine and despair.
