Summary
Alwan was nearly completed with his training, and Greta recently expelled. They were students apprenticed to the Shapers, mages feared and respected by the entire world with the power to create life itself. But then disaster struck. Their school is attacked and destroyed. Rebels and monsters rampage, challenging Shaper rule and common lives with fire and chaos. These two struggle to survive, and try to edge the world back into order. Or maybe, towards a better path.

This is a retelling of the story of Geneforge 3 where the player character dies at the start, leaving Greta and Alwan as our co-protagonists. No, this will not be an "enemies to lovers" fic. That wouldn't be right for those two characters. With luck, I might even finish this before Jeff Vogel starts releasing advertisements for his remake. -

The Shapers have the power to create life. They can make plants and animals to populate barren lands and intelligent, loyal serviles to do their menial work. And, if challenged, they can create armies of hideous monsters to devastate their foes.
The Shapers rule these lands, and their authority is absolute. There is one punishment for those who try to disobey them: death.
And so the rebellion began.
Newt Fidelis has already lost much to the Shapers. Rather than stay uninvolved, he has chosen to take the fight to them by whatever means necessary.
If only the means necessary hadn't turned out to be both volatile and uncontrollable...

Summary
Not your typical Geneforge 5 story. While events may play out roughly the same, what actually happens can vary by a great amount, including a few things Mr. Vogal couldn't get away with in his games. A human with a highly-unusual appearance begins to regain awareness of whom he is on a seemingly-random day. With his mental awakening do other forces start to turn in the background, though there are questions in his journey that haunt him.
Who is he really? Why are many so eager to recruit him from both sides of the supposed war that's been happening around him all this time?
And why did he look so WEIRD?!
