These are a series of drabbles that were previously posted on Tumblr as an antidote to the difficult storyline that was on screen from September 2025 to January 2026. On 16 April 2025 the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom ruled that the legal definition of ‘woman’ is ‘biological sex’, i.e. transgender women are not ‘women’ under the Equality Act 2010, and can be excluded from single-sex facilities, services and spaces. The 'Carla is pregnant' Swarla baby fic people have requested a *lot* since I made Lisa the pregnant one in the Piece by Piece universe 😊 Set in 2014, their pasts are both a bit different here: Becky did die (yes, forever and irreversibly) giving birth to Betsy and Lisa and Carla have been together since Betsy was three. Carla and Peter were never together.
People wanted more Michelle and for Carla to be having the baby and Lisa looking after her so hopefully that's what you'll get!
