Summary
The Emberfell Kingdom is in need of new rulers, the kingdom struggles with a dying King on the throne. Princess Edge has refused each offer of marriage that she has spent any amount of time with. How is she to become King with a spoiled brat for a Queen at her side, or worse, a feeble minded old decrepit with little or nothing to offer. A noble from Farhelm makes an offer, not a woman of royal blood, but still proper enough to be allowed, if the princess will accept.
Note: It's all Yuri, mwah ha ha! Yes, Edge takes on the title of King despite being a woman, to Monster kingdoms in this it's more of a role, if that makes sense.

Summary
Doomsday prep has always been necessary in my opinion. If not for your time, then for another's time. So I got married young, to a much older, much richer man, waited a few years for him to die (cancer, so sad), and collected that money like candy at a parade. Then I picked out a nice place for a bunker, and had that thing built in another few years. When Monsters busted out of the mountain nearby, turning some Humans into Monsters, I was only slightly surprised the government's decision was to fucking nuke them all. Now I'm closing the door, and I see people in the distance waving their arms, yelling. I should just close the door, I don't know them, but I don't think it's fair to leave them out to die.
Author's notes, kinda:
Gonna be just Horror, Fell, and Fell/Swap variants.
Characters like Sans, Toriel, Asgore, Frisk, and others are really only mentioned, except Horror Sans.
Papyrus variants are more like different people in this, than variants of the same person.
Also, I don't really like Swapfell Pap (Purple) so sorry, but he might only be there for drama, not for a relationship -

The story of a lonely prince meeting a reformed knight.
This is me making up a backstory for the royal au that bounces around in my head constantly. Knight Hue (Undertone papyrus) slowly falls in love with the prince, Comet (Outertale papyrus) while trying to avoiding all the usual trouble that comes with two men in the Middle Ages trying to be together, arranged marriages, royal duties, trying to be subtle.
It will be mostly fluff with a bit of Smut and backstory angst for flavour but will avoid super heavy topics :)
