Summary
Before Metis left, she told Zeus that he needed to see Prometheus, that his shown loyalty deserved acknowledgment, even if the reward was only spoken gratitude.
Zeus remained standing long after her footsteps faded.
Reward.
The word lingered in the night air like a heavy perfume, refusing to be brushed aside. He knew Metis was right. But what could Zeus possibly offer him?
He glanced toward the little campfire where his siblings slept, soft faces illuminated by Hestia’s gentle flame. The gods had nothing. No palaces, no treasures, no dominions of their own. They were wanderers, fugitives. Their only wealth was survival.
Words were the only gift he could give, and lately, even those felt thin. Hollow. Not enough.
Among the divine, gifts held weight. Titans gave mountains, lands, oceans. They forged alliances with jewels or riches… or daughters.
The thought made Zeus grimace.
His sisters were young, still soft-voiced, still growing into their immortality, and even if they had been older, he could never imagine offering them away to another. They belonged with him, beside him. That was unchangeable, unthinkable to betray.Which left only one offering: himself.

Summary
Even with the sun shining bright and bold, it was cold as hell. The mountains and their charm. He shook his head — no time to waste. His hands fiddled with his car keys in an absent-minded motion. Only a few steps onto the front yard, and there, before his gate, he noticed–
One of his neighbours. Zeus. The local bird keeper — chickens, pigeons, ducks… you name it, he had it. He was pretty famous around farmers for his good stock — and infamous in the area for being quite loud, the birds in his poultry were not the quietest, and at night-time, he himself wasn't (which we won't get into the details of). On top of that — he was a rich snob and harboured a great distaste for anyone not profitable to him.

Summary
Prometheus entered with hesitant steps, but his gaze was not on the luxury or the feasting set before them. No, it was fixed entirely on the god walking ahead of him.
Zeus.
And not the Zeus the world now feared.
Gone was the storm-crowned ruler who struck down dissent with lightning. Gone was the silver-bearded sovereign cloaked in awe, the figure etched on temple walls, eyes like law, voice like fate.
No, tonight, Zeus had taken a form that Prometheus had not seen in what felt like eons.
And in this form... Prometheus remembered.

Summary
Uranus was overthrown by Cronus, who was overthrown by Zeus, who will one day be overthrown. The Titans might be slain or imprisoned but Prometheus still lives. Who reigns doesn’t matter as long as life goes on.
But his children won’t if the fire is not returned to them. (It will, he swears, with my Dying Will)
