Azulon meets his son’s glare head on. “This sacrifice is not only for Agni, but for our people. Morale is gone, it is time for us in the palace to place our lot with peasants. Bender or not the prince must die, for a god, and for the people.”
Understanding seems to come to Ursa and Ozai at the same time. Horror crosses Ursa’s face and she reaches for her husband's sleeve digging labor broken nails into the silk.
“Ozai, we cannot lie to a god.”
Ozai shakes her off, “A god that let his chosen people suffer. Father is right, we are at war, the loss of a son will show our people how we tried and lost as much as them.”
Ursa shakes her head, chest heaving, “We cannot lie to a god.”
“I don’t care about a god.” Ozai leans down to look his wife in the eyes, touches her face like she is something that held value and now sits on the shelf of an antique store. “Let the people’s anger be on the god when our efforts fail.”
“If he does not bend,” Azulon muses, bringing the baby back to the cradle in his arms, “then he does not bend, but that mustn't escape the palace walls.”
Azulon hands Ozai his son and Zuko wails like he has been set ablaze.
Or, Zuko was born to save the Fire Nation.

Zuko and Katara forge an alliance, one that will echo through history. Prepare for a lot of jokes and immature humor from the characters, tears, and soft moments. War may be done, but some want it to return. The spirit world awakens and spirits are starting to meddle with the mortal realm. -

Summary
Jumping to his feet with inhumane speed, nearly stumbling over his own legs as he did so, Lu Ten scrambled out of the room. Οnly a sliver of his remaining common sense allowed him not to slam the door on his way out, but that sliver was all there was left in his mind. Outside the bedroom, in a desolate dark hallway, his legs became useless blocks of soft flesh and collapsed to the floor, bringing the rest of his trembling body with them. The abrupt and harsh landing made his poor ankles sting in protest of the abuse, but he paid no mind to it. He had bigger problems on his hands.
Zuko was an airbender.

When Iroh has suspicions that his daughter, Eizoku might also be in harms way after the death of his son and her brother, Lu Ten, he fakes her death and sends her away to live with a member of the white lotus.
Her mother, Kei Rin although nobody, including herself knew it, was a decendant of the captured southern water tribe benders. Water bending, the gene that skipped her mother, ended up in the possession of Eizoku.
She lived in the northern water tribe and trained like any other female would. Healing, that's it. But under the covers of darkness, with the moon bright over her head, she tried her hardest, so she could fight and avenge her brother. Her world turns upside down when team avatar enter her home land and she chooses to travel with them.
She doesn't blame the earth kingdom. The war took everything from her. If the firenation had stayed out of everything, her life would be normal.

Then suddenly, as if the entire world had faded away in the blink of an eye, there was silence. There was no pain. The fires that raged around him, hungrily consuming the dead and dying, were replaced by the flickering candle flames nestled inside the cozy vessels of lanterns. The dark evening of an encroaching stormy sky was replaced by the sleepy corridors of a large room lined with shelves upon shelves of books.Strangely, he found himself within these hollowed halls, face to face with a Water Tribesman who called himself an Architect of destiny. Who judged the souls of the dead and sent them on to the afterlife, and corrected the wrongs made by humanity. All while maintaining the sacred webs of Fate.
Amidst it all, Zuko must discover his own destiny and carve out a path within the world once more before the webs that held his fragile life in the balance, cut him out of it entirely.

During one of Zuko's middle-of-the-night palace wanderings, he accidentally stumbled upon a secret passage that leads to a cell containing one very much alive Lu Ten.
That was two weeks ago. Iroh and Zuko are delighted, and Sokka is delighted that they're delighted.
Only problem is? Sokka and Lu Ten do not get along.
At all.... Until an assassination attempt comes a little too close to success, leaving Zuko badly injured.
It turns out Sokka and Lu Ten get along pretty well when they're going on a roadtrip across the Fire Nation to hunt down the person who almost killed their precious turtleduck.
