Gideon and Kremy have been circling each other for years. settling into a comfortable path of will they wont they which for most married couples would have been solved years ago. if they had ever bothered to talk to each other about their feelings instead of the occasional drunken roll in the hay and blaming it on the booze when they wake up cuddling only for Kremy to make breakfast as they sway to music in the kitchen.
Maybe some things never needed said. maybe Kremy did not feel like he needed to tell Gideon what parts he was born with after 12 years together. And maybe Gideon never figured it out on his own....a little too late now ain't it -

Kremy, expecting a quiet trip before his wedding and maybe a few spots of sightseeing, is now stuck on a dusty ranch with no idea how to survive farm life. The heat, the dirt, the endless cows—it’s not exactly his scene. And, of course, the locals are not thrilled about a gatorfolk hanging around. Despite his gentlemanly ways, he’s definitely not winning anyone over.

Gideon looks at him, and for some time, he doesn’t speak. Kremy smokes in silence, waiting. Gideon’s gaze is half-lidded and heavy but not scrutinizing. Still, Kremy struggles not to shift uncomfortably or wriggle out from under the weight of his stare. He’s never been good at quiet moments like this.
“Well,” Gideon says at length, “how could he not?”
