a "fairly-original" idea of phainon and mydeimos being high-school penmates!
at the beginning, we encounter the first sight of mydei's literature class reintroducing a decade old activity: penmates, or penpals.
unfortunately for mydei, he gets assigned maybe the worst and most obnoxious student as his penpal ever, NEIKOS. so unfortunate, his growing fondness went unnoticed by his ownself.
but before mydei could realize, he had to move out of castrum kremnos in order to uphold the business deal eurypon managed to grab hold of, severing their communication that went on for five years, and most importantly his friend group of seniors and juniors.
occasionally, he'd think about his penmate, but thats about it. just reminiscing someone he barely knew—thats what everyone does every once in a while.
there was no chance for them to meet, anyway.

Summary
Phainon is starting the last semester of his bachelor degree, all while focusing on his swimming career and being haunted by childhood memories. His coach is sketchy, his mental health is derailing and his sister thinks he’s friendless. Worst of all, he cannot stop obsessing over his mysterious new neighbour.
Mydei has cut ties with his wealthy parents, deciding to open a home bakery with his closest friend. Their business struggles with a glaring lack of customers, which somehow leads him to strike a fake-dating deal with the most infuriating man he ever met.

“I don’t wanna keep using you like this,” Ivan mutters against Luka’s lips, panting.
“Using me? Don’t think so highly of yourself,” Luka takes Ivan’s bottom lip between his teeth and bites down hard enough to pierce the sensitive flesh, then he’s kissing Ivan again, messy and bloody and dirty.
“You must’ve forgotten, I’m getting something out of this too,” He says when he pulls back. He looks a little deranged like this, smiling lightly as his tongue darts out to lick the remaining blood smudged on the side of his mouth.
“Fuck,” Ivan wheezes, beads of red blooming on his bruised lip. The smile on Luka’s face widens.
