“I didn't turn you,” Minho whispers. It's important to him, suddenly, that Jeongin knows that. “I don't know who did. Felix found you in the street and brought you to me. He begged me to save your life. Someone had given you a drop of vampire blood and– left you.”
“Why?” The single word is filled with so much pain Minho can barely stand to hear it.
“I don't know,” he says. He holds Jeongin tighter. “I don't know. I'm sorry.”

Summary
Minho didn't like change.
He was keen on things that sat close to the heart. Like Felix's saltwater and mint scent, or how Hyunjin smelled like coffee and Changbin like vanilla and the mixture made him feel like home was right there, tucked between the both of them. Seungmin's cherry on his favorite sweater, Jisung's peach on his red scarf. Chan’s spicy grapefruit, to which he would nuzzle all night long, and allow himself to just float on the intimacy, the closeness of scenting his pack alpha.
He liked familiarity.
And Yang Jeongin was just not it.
Well, at least not yet.
Or: omega Minho is taken aback when a younger alpha joins their pack. He's so used to caring for his younger pack mates, who are primarily betas and omegas – with the exception of their pack leader, Chan. He never takes time for himself. It feels wrong to want Jeongin's care. But he can't help but crave it so badly. Especially not when the younger Alpha seemed so eager to please Minho, anyway.

Just as he felt himself slipping back into sleep something caught his attention. It was a small noise, quiet enough that he wasn't sure if he were imagining it but a couple seconds later he heard it again.
It sounded like…a whimper? A muffled one. And now that he was concentrating he thought he could hear his sheets rustling like something was moving on top of them.
He opened his eyes and froze, blinking rapidly and sure that he must be dreaming.
