Stiles blurts it out despite not really wanting the answer to that question, but he's shaking so hard that the metal table rattles beneath him and his muscles feel like they're about to fall off.
He kind of feels like he's dying.
"Right now? Yes," Deaton says quietly. Such simple words and yet it knocks the air from Stiles' lungs like a kick to the chest. But before he can even find the courage to ask them to call his dad, Deaton lays a hand over Stiles' heart, a welcome heat seeping through the layers of wool and leather, as he says, "But I might know how to fix that."
