Thus, he is attracted to women.
Men, on the other hand. There are beautiful men, yes, but while staring at a beautiful man may start out light and pleasant, it never takes long for his feelings toward beautiful men to turn aggressive. He wants to pin them down, subdue them, subjugate them. And why would he feel so aggressive toward random men, except that some base part of his brain views them as his rivals?

After the war, the sects start making offerings to the Yiling Laozu, hoping to curry favor with this powerful immortal. Things spiral out of control when sects start offering up people—including Lan Wangji.
