Summary
Kevin tries not to roll his eyes. “Okay, fine. Why are you blowing up my phone, Buddy?”
“I was thinking you needed more evidence for your civil suit against ACME.”
Nothing prepares Kevin to hear such a lucrative offer. His tongue scrapes across the palate of his mouth, void of any moisture. Doubt, however, still weighs heavy on his mind.
“Just what angle are you trying to play?”
“No angle,” Buddy says, voice lilting on the syllables. “I’m throwing you a bone out of the kindness of my heart. Can’t an old friend do that?”
Kevin deals with Buddy’s negotiation tactics post-ACME.

Summary
Healy kneels and joins March on the ground, grabbing his shoulders and shaking him a little. His hands are stiff, his motions full of contained tension.
“March, you’re not thinking straight. How about we bring you home and you stop running your goddamn mouth and risk saying something you might regret once the booze wears off?”
He’s giving March an out. One last stop before he runs himself off the edge. Before he fundamentally alters the fragile and soft thing that has grown between them, the unlikely friendship they’ve tentatively built.
March could lower his head and say yeah, you’re probably right, I don’t know what I’m saying, let’s go home, oh, can you pick me up tomorrow so we can meet that new client I had on the phone earlier? He could stop his downward spiral right here and forget about tonight.
“I’ve always wanted you to fuck me,” he says instead.
------
Or, a misunderstanding after a bar fight leads March to make a drunken confession. The answer he gets is not the one he expects.

Summary
“Okay, uh, don't worry. I'm going to get you to a hospital, okay? Can you walk?” The man’s voice is soft as he stumbles over his words, looking at Driver's wound in horror. The way the streetlights hit the man, it hides more of his face now. The lights reflect from behind his head in an angelic way that looks almost like a halo through Driver's already blurry vision.
Now, Driver was never fully religious. He had gone to church a handful of times in his early childhood, however, he never call himself fully religious by any means. Some nights though, it did linger in the back of his head as a small comfort. But in this moment there was only one conclusion his oxygen deprived brain could come to.
This man with large, beautiful, brown eyes was an angel here to save him.
— ⛐ —
After waking up in a random Minnesota hospital and being referred to as a name that's not his, Driver is told he can't drive for awhile due to the risk of his stitches reopening. Lars, the man who found Driver, offers to let him stay with him. Driver doesn't seem to realize you can never fully outrun the past.
