He must have looked unconvinced because Nagi went on. “You trust me, right Isagi? I know when someone’s bad at this job. Rin’s not. Talk to him, at least.”
“Alright,” Isagi gave in, earning a small smile in response. He did trust Nagi, knew him since college and even played football with him during the weekends. Nagi wasn’t a liar nor did he say things he didn’t mean.
Nagi called Rin with a yell, seeing that the shop was empty and no clients would be bothered by the fuss. When he turned around he closed the portfolio, “Er, let me warn you though, Rin is still learning to interact with the customers…”

He could feel Shidou’s lips on his hand form into a pout, and had a fraction of a second warning before Shidou bit the soft area of his hand between his index finger and thumb.
“Ow!” Sae said, wrenching his hand out of Shidou’s grasp and flicking him on the forehead. Sae inspected the area Shidou had bitten, and in the low light he could just barely make out the imprint of teeth. “That’s disgusting. What are you, a dog?”
Shidou just grinned up at him.
And suddenly, he realized. Ah, maybe this was his scary dog privilege.
“Hey little demon, how would you like to be my dog?”
Somehow, Shidou’s grin got even wider. “Woof.”

He did wait long. At least by his standards. However, that wasn’t what he answered. In fact, he didn't answer at all.
Nagi looked up, ignoring his game for a moment, and, indeed, the person in front of him wasn’t Isagi. It wasn't his voice, and it certainly wasn't his appearance.
Why is this guy talking to me as if we had planned to meet..? Nagi had never seen this guy before, that's for sure. If he'd seen that face, those eyes, that hair, he'd remember. Wait a second. Is this Isagi's doing? He has been insisting a lot lately that I should meet new people.
