“It’s raining,” Yoko says absentmindedly, staring out the window with her chin in her hand, utterly bored by whatever Professor Iggy is saying.
“Smells like Wednesday,” Enid mutters under her breath, only just discovering what rain smells like.
Petrichor, she learns later, is the word for it. The scent that comes with rain after a long stretch of dry weather.
That’s how it feels, she thinks, like she spent most of her life wandering through a desert, and Wednesday Addams is her first sip cold water in decades.
OR
Enid regains her sense of smell when she meets Wednesday, but refuses to accept that it might mean something.
Unfortunately, her habit of inhaling like a lunatic whenever Wednesday is nearby leads Wednesday to only one logical conclusion:
