Fix-it for Phantom of the Opera - 75% less creepy, 100% fewer weird father-lover dynamics, better age gaps, female Phantom. In this house we love and support the Phantom, even if she does commit a murder or two. She's justified.

Petra Parker is ashamed to admit that, sadly... she is a stereotypical trans woman. Insofar that she has terrible taste in men, at least.
Okay, that's not entirely fair to Jameson. Aside from his temper, his domineering personality, and his truly breathtaking hatred of Spider-Woman, he's a catch. Maybe Petra is the only one that sees it, but that's fine. She doesn't have a chance anyways, for a variety of reasons, so it's just not worth getting worked up about. And hey, silver lining: he doesn't know she's Spider-Woman! That means she can act out her fantasies all she wants under the mask, which really amounts to some vague flirting and blown kisses. It's a good, if relatively complicated, arrangement.
No way it'll blow up in her face, right?

Summary

As they start to realize their true feelings for each other, all hell breaks loose. When Danielle gets bit by a genetically modified spider, intense changes start to happen. Incredible bouts of pain start to take over her life. Wanting the pain to stop, she reaches out for help from the only person who's like her. What she doesn't know? Who Spider-Woman really is, and what exactly the job entails.
This fic is only slightly more graphic than all the Spider-Man movies (apart from the *Optional* sex scenes) so if you were good with the movies, you'll be good with this. I personally don't do well with gore, so the it's *very* minimal. The most extreme it gets is just the descriptions of environments after a fight with blood in certain places.
No, the "Major Character Death" tag is not for Gwen, in case that was a worry for anyone.
This is my first ever FanFic, so if you see any mistakes, kindly let me know and I'll work them out. I hope you enjoy it! <3
