Summary
Maura has lived many lives she doesn't remember. But with each life, before she reaches her 31st birthday, Maura dies at the hands of a stranger her heart knows but her mind doesn't. The cycle takes many forms but always ends in her demise, as well as the demise of the stranger and her eternally present and ever-supportive lover, Daniel.
On a calm day during the summer of 2023, an unknown survivor of a brutal car wreck shows up in the ICU where Maura works as a nurse and she once again finds herself caught up in yet another vicious cycle.
As memories of her past lives begin to surface, they overwhelm and consume her. Maura must once again decide what and who she believes while trying to figure out a way to stop the cycle once and for all.
(Very much inspired by the book "Our Infinite Fates" 10/10 concept, I loved it so much, def go read it)

This is a sequel to “To Forget and be Forgotten” so please read that first!
In a new simulation with her memories intact, Maura Solace holds the key to escape from this looping torment. But leaving the simulation means leaving her son. “When we get to New York,” Ángel said with a small noise of annoyance, “you are never wearing this thing again.”
Ramiro laughed. “Trust me, I hadn’t planned to.”
When Ángel had finally undone the rest he pushed it far enough aside to quickly pull Ramiro’s shirt up to get his hands against his skin. Ramiro, not to be outdone, also had begun to get Ángel out of his clothes as Ángel kissed him deeper then. It seemed like it had been so long since they were able to be together. Of course it had only been a few days and Ramiro had known they shouldn’t be doing this now but nothing could feel like it mattered more. He managed to get him out of his waistcoat and was only able to start with his shirt before Ángel slid a hand into his pants. Ramiro moaned against Ángel’s mouth.
“See,” Ángel teased as his fingers brushed against Ramiro’s clit, “isn’t it better I got you away from everyone else? How scandalized they would be.”

Tales of angels falling down from the heavens were commonplace in Ramiro’s childhood.
Whenever an angel committed an act too sinful in the eyes of God, they would be sent down to Earth as they were no longer worthy of living among the other holy, pure beings up above. Once on Earth, they would be forced to live with the humans for the rest of their lives.
Though, that didn’t last long.
Since the body parts of an angel were so sought after, it was common for a fallen angel to immediately get captured and harvested. It didn’t matter if the fallen angel wanted to live. Their feelings never mattered. They were sinners. They have done heinous acts against universal morality. If God doesn’t want them, then who would?
“So you’re Ramiro…”

Ángel peered at himself in the mirror as if maybe he were wrong but he knew that if he brought a hand to himself his reflection would do the same. It was strange, it wasn’t like looking at old photos or recalling a slightly warped memory, he was twenty-nine now and he had been twenty-nine then yet he’d never been twenty-nine as he had in the simulation. He wasn’t sure how to reckon that with such a clear image of a version of himself that previously never existed. Although he supposed that that wasn’t quite true anymore.
