She sighs, stepping over to lean back against the wall directly across from him in their narrow hallway, sinking down to mimic his pose. He continues to look down so she nudges his foot with her big toe. He doesn’t react so she does it again and this time he clicks his tongue in annoyance, finally peeking up enough to glare at her.
“The fuck do you want?” Katsuki hisses.
“You’re the one sitting outside our room,” she points out.
He goes silent for a bit. “Couldn’t sleep,” he murmurs, looking away.
The days are hard and the nights are harder, but Mitsuki does what she can to be by her son's side as he recovers and moves forward from everything that's happened.
