Summary
Nezu spends his life among humans, yes. He made a career out of training the best of them to save, to fight, to be good. Because Nezu has seen what humans can do when left alone to choose their own path. They murder. They torture. They experiment. He needs to make sure they are raised with proper morality, that the good traits are the ones nurtured. But part of him will never be able to fully let down his guard around any human ever again. Part of him will always burn for revenge.
When a random kid’s quirk awakening brings him a not-quite-human child with all the same scars he saw in the mirror, figuratively anyway, Nezu finds himself experiencing something brand new.

Listen, I love Dadzawa just as much as the next guy (and he’s still here, no worries!), but I feel like we are collectively missing an opportunity for Rat!Dad Nezu. four boys all needing a new start get it in a way that helps them all. Ghost king Danny makes the observants demand clockwork take danny out of the timeline. Accused of being a dark wizard, Harry is pushed through the veil. Lincoln Loud just wants to go somewhere he can be something other than 'the only boy' and 'bad luck.' Izuku Midoriya has given everything he is to stop Shigaraki, and none of the vestiges are happy about that, including the one that has been in hiding, the one with the ‘stockpile’ meta ability. They are the one most able to allow access to the abilities in their meta ability, including all of the ones stolen by All For One, who also has a vestige. New game plus allows for a start over, and searching for a way to help Izuku, drags a certain rat who won’t question another turtle. 2003 Splinter awakes in the BNHA world, with all eight sons having always been there and shrugs it off as ‘misremembering’ having moved back to Japan and the extra turtles? Clearly, he miscounted in his pre-mutation brain.’
