Summary
While on a trip in the mountains, the Dursleys are caught in a snowstorm. And in times like these, human nature is shown, in all its ugly glory. Selfishness, fear, hatred, self-preservation... the worst sides of people rise like mud in turbulent water. The Dursleys are no exception.
But, unknowingly, they trigger an ancient magic, something that sings of hunger and cold and blood on snow, and as sun dawns the next morning, its light touches upon what remains of that choice:
Death.And two years later, a Hogwarts letter arrives for Harry Potter, who is really just looking to have a good time. A Forbidden Forest, you say? Deadly corridors? A three-headed dog? A magical saviour attending school alongside him? How fun!

Summary
Long ago magic flowed across the face of the world like great waves from a far off storm, but the waves have long since ceased. The magical places of the world are slowly fading away, swept clean by the sands of time, loss, and innovation.
In a cupboard tucked under a stairway Harry Potter is shown the smallest of affections by his Aunt, and magic wakes in him in a way that no one can predict or plan for, creating ripples in the once still waters of magical Britain. When an imprompto bus trip takes him purely by mistake to Diagon Alley, he is thrust into a world of wonders and horrors alike.
Old families plot, schemers manipulate from the shadows and Harry learns just who he really is.

McGonagall sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose, “Very well Miss Granger, let’s get started.”
Harry placed his hand on the cover of the book with the number one on it causing it to glow slightly before it opened. With a flick of his wand Dumbledore, who had a curious look in his eyes as he regarded the now calm, relaxed, and even playful children in front of him, caused the book to start reading on its own.OR: Reading the books, but I add my own twist here and there.
