Summary
A few weeks after stabilizing the Circus and coming to terms with their permanent life there, the gang agrees to bring Caine back- on the condition that Kinger rewrites his code and removes his power over the world.
Caine awakens to find himself on relatively equal footing with humans for the first time in his life. Can he learn to listen and understand them now that he's no longer bound to his program's original purpose? Will the humans ever be able to truly forgive him for everything he's done to them? Can anything truly change?
Featuring Caine trying human things, found family bonding, and a healthy dose of angst while everyone processes their various traumas and learns to accept this new world they're making together. Or tries to, anyway.

In this alternate world, the Lady Mai of the Fire Nation is the girl on hand when Avatar Aang emerges from a South Pole iceberg after 100 years. Aang falls in love at first sight, but Mai's loyalties are to the people she was forced to leave behind. This is a long, stand-alone, character-driven adventure that WILL NOT rehash the cartoon. It will just feel like the first time you watched it.

[It will also follow through similar events of episode 8 and 9. Of course not a replication but there will be overlapping. But that will take a while to reach.]It took Jax three tries before he managed to steady his trembling hand to slot the key into the lock. He watched his fingers shake with a strange, clinical detachment, as if they belonged to someone else.
It took another three to recall which way to turn the key.
He slammed the door with what little energy he had left, then collapsed solemnly onto the bed with a pained groan.
This is going to be a looooong night.
This fic is multi-character centric! While some chapters could be heavily Jax centric, everyone will still get a chance to shine.
One of my goals for this fic is to explore platonic relationships which are not found in the show. As well as some romantic! Though the fic is not heavy for all of the lovey-dovey stuff.
I also look forward into exploring how Kinger got his memory issues later more. And god there is so much more.
I hope yall will enjoy!
