“You’re… the good guy.”
He blinks at her simple answer, especially as a blush lights up her cheeks.
“You’re the one I think everyone will like,” she says softly. “The one everyone will click with once they get to know you.”
He slowly sits up beside her and stares, especially as her shy smile only grows.
“You’re the one who will make everyone feel… home, Jax.”
Stunned by her words, he feels his cheeks burn in a heat he’d never felt. With no hesitation, his mouth opens and asks the only question that matters now.
“How does the good guy fare with the funny ones? Especially… the girl funny one?”
Rolling her eyes, she snickers.
“Great, actually. They compliment each other naturally,” she assures. “Odds are high they will become friends. Best friends, even.”
She scooches closer, and he can tell they are both holding their breath. Her hand grazes his, making him think (or rather, wish) it is too deliberate to be just an accident.
And when Ribbit turns to look deep into his eyes, he knows it isn’t.
“…And the odds are even better they’ll become something more.”

“It’s nothing!,” Jax defended himself. “It’s just a bit o’ mud, I’ll live! And I didn’t even start — the guy just came out of nowhere and broke a chair over my head!”
“A chair?!”
“It’s fine, Ragatha!” He walked past her, towards the tent he apparently wanted to claim for himself.
They all followed him with their eyes until Zooble broke the silence. “They have a nice liquor store in that town.”After even Jax was angry with the "Escape the Circus" adventure, Caine sends the Circus members on another suggestion-box one. The group ends up as outlaws in the 1890s Wild West, needing to survive by robbing and killing, while also having to navigate the uncomfortable atmosphere between all of them.

And it believes they were better off inside.

Summary
A few days after episode 7, a new human got trapped in the Circus. Two months later, a way to log off was found. However, as the humans got back to their lives, they couldn't help but feel alienated. Some of them had been in the Circus for years after all, so they had gotten used to life there. They had also missed a lot in the real world, and it was quite overwhelming. So, the cast find themselves logging back into the Circus to feel a sense of familiarity, while also allowing direct interactions with each other. Talking through the internet just wasn't the same.
Tags will be updated as the story goes. There is no set deadline for updates and i'm extremely unpredictable, so i might go a while before updating the story again.
Included: Very poor drawings of some scenes, made by yours truly! (They have been updated with imgur, hopefully working this time)
Name censoring inspired by Daikaiju's own post circus AU, but everything else is original. This is also my first fic, so feedback is appreciated!
