Following the events of confronting his old Master after ten years of relentlessly searching for him just to be bested again in the most devastating way possible, Vader had two years of thinking about the choices he had made during the last decade. And it all boiled down to his current Master, Darth Sidious, who had manipulated and controlled him, who had set all those terrible things in motion that had ended with him being not much more than a walking corpse, kept alive by a mix of elaborate and crude machinery, that was making every day torture and full of pain.
On Tatooine he meets a sweet little boy, who soon becomes the most important person in his life...

Obi-Wan Kenobi has never known it, but he has always been the Force’s Champion, destined to suffer infinite sadness in defense of the Light. Obi-Wan can feel grooves and gouges, blackened, pitted scars upon the marrow of his being, carved by such terribly Dark works. But the blemishes are only that. The beating core, the blazing heart, the Light of him still lives on, despite it all.

Anakin and Obi-Wan woke up weeks before the beginning of the Clone Wars with memories of the next seven years. While they still struggle to accept both what they’ve done and what was done to them, they’ve started on the road to healing and atonement.
Now, they begin to plan how to defeat Darth Sidious while reacclimatizing to their lives from before the war. There is still much personal trauma for them to work through as they try to deal with their past and prepare for their future. But, as long as they have each other, nothing is insurmountable.
