“Anthony Stark! Why am I not even surprised?”
Great! The eldritch monster of time can speak and knows Tony’s name. And who he is. Splendid, really.
But that accent… Tony is pretty sure he heard that accent before. But where? And from who? The voice itself is pretty hoarse like the person hasn’t used it in a long time, but still, it is very familiar.
It doesn’t stay a mystery to him for long who it belongs to. The time branches start to move around him, clearing a path to what seems to be the edge of these ruins, and as soon as his eyes are able to focus to the new distance, he knows.
There is a lone chair at the end of the path, which is not even a chair, but rather a throne, pure gold and beautiful, and though the person on it sits with his back being toward Tony, that black mess of curly hair and the horny helmet is something that one just doesn’t forget. Even though the helmet now seems to be a crown instead of a protective gear, sitting heavily on the top of his head.
