Summary
Katsuki crouched in front of him, eyes snapping to the phone screen before Shouto could tilt it away. And there it was. A grainy photo, taken from across the street. Shouto in a hoodie and jeans, one reusable grocery bag slung over his shoulder, turning slightly as if he’d heard someone call his name. The angle was unflattering on purpose, caught mid-step, fabric pulling just enough to suggest softness at his middle.
The headline underneath was worse.
“Pro Hero Shoto Todoroki PACKS ON THE POUNDS After Injury — Fans Ask: Has He Let Himself Go?”
Katsuki’s vision went red.
He didn’t read the comments. Didn’t have to. He knew exactly what they’d be like. He’d seen it happen to celebrities, to sidekicks, to heroes who dared to age or exist outside of combat footage.
But Shouto had read them.
Or, Shouto had gotten injured, the media gets cruel when he gains weight during recovery, and Katsuki teaches him that his body is his own - and that weight has never been a measure of love.

Summary
It was just the same thing that always happened: a name and a number, scrawled too hopefully in pink near the base of the cup.
“Risa :)”
He almost rolled his eyes.
But then he saw it. The faint smudge of a single black line slashed through the number. Clean. Sharp. And below it, written in a darker, slanted hand:
“not your type.”

Shouto stared at the writing, blinking once. Either this was the most absurdly confident thing Shouto had ever witnessed, or some kind of joke. And somehow that made it worse. Or better. Or something Shouto didn’t have the language for.
He hadn’t texted for two days. The cup had been sitting on his shelf since Thursday. Now it was close to midnight. The room was dim and warm. His book lay open beside him, untouched.
He caved.
Or: Shinsou knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to take it. Shouto keeps people at a distance.

Summary
Up close, the eyeliner is lethal. It frames Shouto’s eyes just enough to make them burn brighter, sharper, like they’re cutting through the dim light instead of reflecting it.
Katsuki’s brain empties.
Shouto takes a breath. “I need a favor.”
Katsuki blinks. “What kind of favor.”
“I’m sorry,” Shouto says quickly, words tumbling out like he’s afraid of hesitating. “I’ll make it up to you.”
Katsuki opens his mouth.
Shouto kisses him instead.
Or, Katsuki is pining, Shouto is desperate to escape his father's expectations and kisses him.
