Benthan Week 2022: Day 6 - Ethan seeing Benji Shirtless.
Ethan was turned on his side, eyes taking in the art over Benji’s arms. “I didn’t know you had tattoos.”
Benji glanced down to his own arms. “You didn’t? I mean, I suppose you’ve never had reason to see me without a shirt on. So far, I have tried to keep them in places where they can be hidden by short-sleeved shirts. There’s a few more on my legs, since shorts on the job are less common. But. Yeah.”
Benji shrugged, self-consciously scratching as his arm for a moment before he shook off the feeling of being scrutinised. That wasn’t what Ethan was doing, and Benji had nothing to be insecure of; that’s what he continued to internally repeat to himself, at least, as he registered the way that Ethan’s eyes roamed over his bare chest.
It was a little more attentive than that of a casual friend.

“Yeah, I know, hardly the body of an agent.” Benji commented, his tone containing only a trace of humour.
Ethan’s brows pulled tight in response. “What?”
Benji gestured to himself, belatedly giving a frustrated head shake as he continued to pull his shirt on over his head.
“It doesn’t matter – I’ll be back in training sessions next week, not that it’s going to be an easy fix. Not all of us have the metabolism and forgiving genetics of Ethan Hunt, y’know.”
Ethan squinted with an amused (if not still confused) smile, head tilting. “Benji – what are you talking about?”
