Summary
Blue lines streaked away from the two X-wings, aiming for the viewport of the bridge. Both X-wings peeled away, turning in opposite directions. The torps hit, the viewport exploding and debris pouring out into vacuum. Tycho heard an exclamation of victory from Wedge, a sound that was cut short as Wedge’s X-wing was vaporised in a laser blast. Tycho felt a momentary jolt of shock, though he knew it was only a sim.
Wedge has got himself back as leader of Rogue Squadron again, flying an X-wing among the stars. Tycho has never seen him to happy - piloting in the way he loves, and also a husband and father. Of course, being both a father and a soldier is difficult, and Tycho can see Wedge is quietly figuring out how to make things work. Meanwhile, someone seems to be listening in on New Republic transmissions. Rogue Squadron are sent to fnd out what's happening.

Summary
Two years after the Galactic War ended, Wedge Antilles has everything he wanted - Iella by his side, two children, and since his retirement, the freedom to go on holiday when he wants to. A trip to the family homeworld of Corellia seems like a good idea, but something Wedge encounters there triggers bad memories for him. Summary
“It was that fight today,” Wedge said, his voice muffled by Tycho’s shoulder. “When my shields failed, and the X-TIE had me lined up, I thought I was dead. I thought I was going to die there, all alone in my X-wing, with nothing but vacuum around me. I don’t want to die alone, and I will.”
The disaster at Distna lead to a victory in the end, but it took its toll on Rogue Squadron. Wedge's leadership pulled them through, but Tycho is close enough to see how much it cost him. And now they are back in the fight again and once more, lives depend on decisions that Wedge makes. Tycho is desparate to offer comfort.
