Summary
What even is Steven? Garnet initially thought he was a fusion (and much of the fandom seems to agree in some capacity). Other works have him as a hybrid, but treat the human body as "default" Steven while his gem is the "pink" or "gem" Steven. But if he's a hybrid, why is the human half more definitively "Steven" than the gem half?
This is a writing exercise I did, rewriting the split scene from "Change Your Mind" from Steven's perspective as a hybrid, receiving sensory input from both of his bodies at the same time.

Summary
Marinette is a normal girl with a normal life. Unlike Alya, she has self-preservation and hides during akuma attacks.
Adrien's father would kill him if he was in a supervillain's peripheral vision; that's why he's hiding even if the akuma is on the other side of the city.
It's easy for Ladybug and Chat Noir to hide their identities. The kwamis take any memories not relevant to battle, and a civilian identity definitely isn't relevant. -

It's a tale as old as time - Marinette took charge after a curse was cast upon House Tsurugi and all who worked there. Adrien wants more than the provincial life set out for him by his father who's living in the past. They'll come together as Marinette attempts to set Adrien up with Lady Kagami in order to break the curse.
