Summary
Frank Langdon has always been in many ways he thought, a coward. A coward doesn't just come in the form of a shaky little intern or a pensive bystander too afraid to call out moral ambiguities. No, one can very much present himself as some miserable med student sat in a lecture to appease his family or a first year resident in the ER, unable to fully commit his attachment to the dying masses out of fear loss will weigh him down like a heavy handed giant, pushing both calloused palms into his shoulder blades, circling the bones of his fingers deeper and deeper until he is all but an empty malt of skin, covered in bruises.
One also doesn't expect their hypocrisy and cowardice to come in the form of a stranger's blood and brain matter, scattered all over his shoes.
