Pepper PottsNow, this was great for Peter Parker. More than great! It meant that Peter would have something to put on his college applications, and potentially a letter of recommendation, and it meant he would have an actual challenge for once in his life.
This development, however, was not great for Spider-man. Spider-man was being hunted down by the Avengers, which Mr. Stark happened to be a part of. And Peter Parker happened to be Spider-man.
OR: Peter Parker is interining at Stark industries. The spider that bit Peter had a few more effects than it does in canon, including but not limited to: fangs, way worse instincts, and an annoyingly sentient spidey sense

There must have been something off about his tone, because Tony narrowed his eyes at him and just stared for a few seconds. Peter tilted his head innocently.
“No way you already work for me.”
An innocuous comment sparks an idea that Spider-Man is a Stark Industries employee. Which he is, but surely that’s not enough to out him, is it?
Tony will not rest until his crazy theory gets proven correct.

“I… I need somewhere to stay.” He admitted quietly. “Mom kicked me out.”
The silence as he waited for Tonys’ response felt like it stretched for an hour, even though it only lasted a few heartbeats.
“Where are you?”
“About an hour over the Virginia border.” He explained quickly. “I think I have enough cash to get me to New York if I don’t stop anywhere.”
“I can send Happy for you in the chopper if you give me the co-ordinates.”
“You got space for my bike in that chopper?” Harley snarked, unable to help himself.
