Summary
ReGect and Z go on a little excursion to a place that ReGect insists will be fun. This, of course, as it usually goes, turns out NOT to be fun for Z. But somehow, it's worse than all the previous adventures were. By a mile.
Because now, Z is turning into a monster. And he doesn't know what to do.

“No.” Ze cut it off quickly. “What even are you? Who are you?”
“What-” It stuttered. “Dude, it’s me! Like,” It looked down at its clawed hands and back up at Ze. “You can’t be serious? Ze, it’s me. Regect?”

Regect tries not to panic as the ever-growing sickness hangs over them like a guillotine. The two grow closer than either are comfortable with, and in Regect’s desperation to not lose another ‘friend’, he resorts to drastic measures…

Regect sighs. "Look man, I'm sorry he banished your guns or whatever but it's getting dark and it's going to be a lot harder looking during the night." He squints, trying to make out Ze's dark form from far in front of them. "I can't even see you anymore, dude. Are you still there?"
A shuffle. Ze's jacket sleeve peeks out from the darkness, his middle finger pointed up. "Can you see this?"
"Oh fuck you. Real mature." Regect bristles.

An accident forces Ze to reveal more than he's willing to share. They stumble through it with as much grace as you can expect.

Ze’s forearm pushes against Regect’s face. Regect growls, “Ow! Watch your fuckin’ elbow, dude!”
“I’m not watching anything.” Ze hisses, jamming a knee into his side. Regect curses loudly. “I can’t watch anything because it’s dark. Because you boxed us in a fucking hole.”
