Summary
Captain Carol "Avenger" Danvers went up on that test flight, and it turned out to be a combat mission she never expected. Since then, she hasn't stopped fighting. But as time went on, she seems to be losing more and more... pieces of herself, her family, her humanity. But maybe, a certain Avenger returned from the dead will be a light in a universe of darkness.
BLUF: Carol didn't expect Fury to call her out of the blue to say Maria was sick again. She didn't expect her best friend offering her soul to take the place of someone gone too soon. And Carol certainly didn't expect her possibility at reconciliation with Monica to be cut short by mistakes from the past coming to haunt Carol. Now that the Captain is drifting further and further away from those that care for her, can Natasha allow herself to go higher, further, faster to bring their Captain back? And is this the push they both need to find a new step forwards in their lives?

Summary
After rescuing Edward in Italy and having the Cullens return to Forks, Bella’s relationship with Edward has been strained. Edward doesn’t want to turn her, concerned about damning her soul and wanting Bella to live a normal life. Bella knows, though, that without being turned she won’t last much longer. Reuniting with the Cullens brought in a new form of anguish that she’s kept hidden from all but Alice. Before the Cullens left, having feelings for Rose while dating Edward was awkward, but safe, since nothing would ever come from it. But now? It’s killing her.
