“He used to love these, do you have them in your universe? Does your Optimus care to remember how you adore these flowers?”

In which D-16 meets a familiar face in his dreams. For no matter how changed, he would always recognize his Orion Pax.

And an Optimus Prime from another universe reminisces on the "conjunx" he lost.

Bluestreak turned next to him. "So when will you introduce your future Conjunx to me Prowler? He doesn't seem that bad.. what was he called? Jan?"

Prowl almost choked on the high-grade he was sipping on, his optics widening. "Jazz?! My-- future conjux?! Where in the name of Primus did you get that idea!" He sputtered.

    Summary

D-16, restless and burdened, writes a secret poem expressing his hidden feelings and yearning for something beyond their lives. He entrusts the poem to Orion, who reads it in solitude and guards it closely, understanding the fragile hope it carries.

Orion Pax glanced up from the diagnostic tool he was running. “You’re quiet.”

D-16 chuckled without humor. “You always say that like it’s a malfunction.”

“I say it like I notice,” Orion replied.

That earned him a sidelong look. A strange softness there, just for a blink. D-16 held out a datastick—roughly soldered, clearly hand-cut from an old infochip.

    Summary

A few cycles ago, Iacon was once ruled over by Sentinel Prime.

He had ushered in a new age after the death of the Thirteen Primes, and though energon had stopped flowing, life was relatively peaceful for many Iaconians.

Though if you were cogless, most of your life - from the day you emerged - would have been spent in the dark of the mines.

Yet many had revered Sentinel Prime, even underneath these conditions.

After all, he too wanted to find the Matrix of Leadership.

Mining energon was simply… a necessity… until that goal could be reached.

Yet he never quite reached that goal.

    No.

Sentinel Prime never found the Matrix.

Because the sky had bled fire.

He was blinded by primal rage, he had struck down Sentinel without hesitation. But the cost of his fury was steep. Guilt began to consume him alive, clawing at him relentlessly. And with that price came the nightmares.

At least Optimus is there to comfort him, standing by his side, even though he is no longer Orion Pax.
