Summary
Except Old Man McDentist didn't stand in the doorway when Ronan looked toward it. A very non-geriatric guy did. Youngish, but not young. Maybe early thirties—Ronan's age—or possibly a year older. Two at the most. How long was dental school? Four years? Eight? However long, the guy didn't look like a fresh graduate in his perfectly pressed chinos and light blue collared shirt, a gray quarter-zip fleece layered on top of it with his practice's name and logo embroidered on one side of his chest, his name embroidered on the other.
Adam Parrish, DMD.
It might have been the pain thinking, but Ronan prayed to God that cavities would start rapidly eating away at his teeth, if only so he had more reasons to visit this guy at his office. Gaunt cheeked. Dusty haired. Blue eyed—and shit, they were pretty blue eyes.
Goddamn, he was perfect.
Dr. Parrish.
Dr. Adam Parrish.
And, in a minute or two, Dr. Parrish's hands would be in Ronan's mouth.
It was definitely not the pain talking when Ronan said, "Fuck me."
When Ronan gets three teeth knocked out during a game, he meets the Capitals' new team dentist: Adam Parrish, DMD.

Summary
Steve’s never understood why adults always praise him for being a “people person” as if it’s some great accomplishment.
What, like it’s hard?

Or: Steve Harrington is your average American teenager, he just had to work harder than most to learn how to ignore the emotions bumping into him.

Summary
"Clarke had two things going through her mind then. The first was that in a crooked way, she’d left the best impression she could have, and so she might not be completely screwed.
The second was that she had unknowingly asked the Commander out on a date.
“State your requests, Clarke kom Skaikru.” She leaned forward, and though her expression was serious, Clarke could see a malicious twinkle in her eyes. “You have my attention.”
--
in which clarke is just trying to take a break, but suddenly a grounder which she didn't even know existed is in dire need of medical attention.
it is a fortunate thing clarke is good at improvising.
(featuring: high accuracy science and intense peace negotiations)

Summary
One day he looks up from the scaffolding and realizes that he’s almost exactly at Jaeger height and has to wrap his hand tight against the metal to keep from stepping out into the air. Not because he wants to kill himself or anything, just because for a split second his mind felt that old equilibrium and he just knew he should be able to, should be able to walk straight across the valley in front of him and out into the sea and on forever until he finds whatever’s next.
