“Is there something you want to tell me about?” Neil asked, rinsing off, watching Andrew’s reflection in the mirror—how Andrew still couldn’t tear his gaze away.

“No,” Andrew said, voice rough. Then, after a beat, and another breath: “I don’t know. I’ll tell you when I do.”

Neil and Andrew explore a new kink.

    Summary

Ilya could see the best of David and Yuna in Shane. It was magnificent, to see their love reflected and amplified in his fiance, but it also scared him. Was his own father’s crass disregard, his mother’s sadness, amplified within him the same way?

    Ilya cleared his throat.

”I think I was unfair to you yesterday, David. I am sorry.”

David frowned, still somehow managing to look kind. His oatmeal had long been forgotten, though he’d been scraping his spoon around the bowl in the same way that Shane often did when he was too busy thinking to actually eat.

“Oh, kiddo. You don’t have anything to say sorry to me for.”

Or: Ilya tries to navigate love, and love navigates its way back.

    Summary

Shane’s eyes snap open. Wait a second.

“Ilya,” Shane says, propping himself up on his elbows. “Ilya, wake up.”

Ilya makes a pained noise, eyes still shut. “I shut curtains already.”

“It’s not that. Ilya, hey. Don’t go back to sleep.” Ilya tries to bury back into Shane’s chest, but adrenaline knifes through Shane’s hangover long enough for him to peel Ilya off and roll him into his back. Ilya blinks blearily up at him, starfished in the sheets. Beautiful and naked and missing his mother’s cross.

OR: When Ilya’s cross goes missing after the Centaurs celebrate their first Stanley Cup win, Shane is determined to get it back. And so are the Centaurs. And the rest of Ottawa.

    Summary

Yuna might be a bit vindictive. But Rozanov is an asshole — even Shane admits it. He insults everyone all the time. Right now, it’s Yuna’s turn.

“Licking your wounds, Rozanov?” He turns slightly.

“Licking — what?” His accent is stronger than she thought it would be. Yuna realizes they’ve never really had a conversation. Maybe an idiom wasn’t the right choice for a chirp.

“Thinking about your losses,” Yuna clarifies. Does an insult lose power if you have to explain it? Probably. Damn.

“Ah.” Rozanov turns his head back to look out at the city. He sounds bored. It pisses Yuna off more than it probably should. Which is dumb, since she’s the one who came all the way out here just to start something because she hates this boy, this brash, cocky asshole who everyone uses as a measuring stick for her son.

or, Yuna decides to chirp her son's rival after the NHL awards. It goes really, really well. Definitely no one cries. (Be warned, this one is sad, y'all.)
