Genuinely though one of the best jasons to ever jason. Uses comics consistently and in one of the best ways possible, Bruce has his 80s characterisation that makes him loveable and capable of loving a jason who needs affection and care properly, compared to newer comics that try erase this Batman and turn him into a consistent brooder.
ALSO JASON LIVES AU!!!!!! ITS A JASON LIVES AU WHERE HES NOT SIDELINED OR FORCED TO STOP HERO WORK ENTIRELY. HES ROBIN FOREVER BAYBEEEE

Summary
When he moved, she snapped the picture before she processed what she was seeing. A body, definitely dead based on the awful shape it was in, bedecked in red, green, and yellow. Her stomach sank as Batman let out an awful cry that she could hear from all the way across the street. Snap! (The photo would not have that sound in it; Vicki would remember it though.)
Batman pulled Robin – Robin’s body – into a hug, burying his face in the boy’s hair. Snap!
Vicki took the pictures because it was all she could do. It felt like a step beyond invasive. Those pictures would probably make her career.
Or, what if the events of A Death In The Family took place in Gotham?

There's no way he could pass for Dick’s actual brother and he’s got the face of a shell-shocked cartoon mouse — but not the cutesy mice, the ones in the old 80's movies that gave Dick nightmares as a child. That plus the fact the Drake kid’s got a thick New Jersey accent he can’t shake and that Dick doesn’t look grown-up enough to be toting around a preteen is sure to get people asking questions. Or worse. So Dick hauls Tim in by the strap on his backpack, steps onto the shoulder, sticks his thumb skyward toward the cloudless cornflower blue of middle America in summer, and prays whoever pulls over lies somewhere boring on the sliding scale between serial killer and snitch.
Dick Grayson turns 20 on March 20th, Jason Todd dies on April 27th, and by May 23rd, Bruce Wayne's ward-not-son is rattling around in the bed of a 1979 Ford F-150 heading anywhere but Gotham, New Jersey. Wayne money and Bat technology can't find him, but he's got a bug-eyed shadow and a raw Robin-shaped wound to haul across the continental United States.

^ Only 90s Batfam fic I've read while on the edge of my seat for the next update. Genuinely loved each chapter and how Jason is apart of the narrative instead of being used to prop up others (if that makes sense?)
ALSO!! Folk music. It has folk music and I love folk music so much and go yay yay yippee!! about it here
I genuinely feel like I'm there everytime I read this fic. I can fEEEEL. the biting dry chill in some chapters or the overbearing heat. Also it's got Clark and it is probably the most Clark to ever Clark here.
