Trinity raised her eyebrows. “What were you even looking at?”
“I wasn’t looking at anyo—anything,” Samira said quickly, cursing herself internally for being so obvious, but it was too late. Trinity was already turning to look behind her where Emery was still talking to Parker by the central hub.
“Oh,” Trinity said in a sing-song tone, smiling at Samira in a way that immediately made Samira bite back a sigh. “Doctor Walsh got a haircut, huh?”
“I wasn’t looking at Walsh,” Samira said, even though she knew it was pointless. Trinity was like a dog with a bone with this type of thing.
Emery gets a haircut and Samira notices.
