I don't know how to word this correctly, but I feel a sense of bafflement at the fact I have been misled! If you've seen my earlier comments from the previous chapters, I believed that this wasn't a Human AU, what with the wording and references to Heaven and Hell that felt too honest to brush off. Well, I stand corrected now.
However, I do feel a bit disappointed with this story, I think it is more fitting to have written this as an original work, without the whole Aziraphale and Crowley and references, may be because I get weak towards the death of characters whom the readers understand at depth (or are the main characters). Perhaps, it would have been easier to distance myself from the passing of a character that I won't meet again unless I open up the same story. Personally, I don't mind Human AUs but with the death and the formatting, this fiction would have made a wonderfully bittersweet short story. It might've been the whole harbour and time loop that reminded me of those mystery short stories, I suppose.
And all in all, I loved the premise of this fiction, the buildup of mistrust and hidden themes that revealed the swiss-cheese holes, made the ending a lot memorable, with a tint of melancholy.
P.S: By the way, you can put Original Character into the tags, I was completely surprised when Crowley's "friend" stayed far longer than I thought. Unless you would like to conceal the surprise, the summary was enticing enough. -

After a nauseating stay in his cooped up room he goes to get some "fresh" air in the London smog, encountering a bleeding scrawny blonde man that doesn't do any good with Lanyon trying to fight off the urge to feed.
