“Why doesn’t he like me?” Steve asks gloomily, eyes sweeping unseeingly over Eddie’s posters and figurines.
“Who says he doesn’t like you?”
“Come on, it’s obvious. I’ve been coming around for two weeks and he still looks at me like…like I’m a snake or something.”
Eddie looks him over and says, “Well, he just doesn’t know that you’ve shed your skin,” Steve gives him something between a glare and a pout, and it’s just too cute on him. “I know you’re used to everyone falling in love with you instantly, Steve, but he’s a tough nut to crack. Don’t take it personally.”
