Summary
“I understand you now,” Asriel said to Dess— both to her ghost and to the much more real memory of her.
“Stop thinking, Azzy.”
Only Dess could tell him that, because only Dess knew him so well. She understood how his brain ticked and the tizzies that he worked himself into. Asriel had always been good at putting on a smile and prioritizing manners, no matter what was happening in his thoughts. Dess always knew. Without her to call it out, he kept a lot more bottled up. After all, who else would he ever tell everything and anything?

Summary
“….Shit..”
The word falls out his mouth, a harsh whisper followed by a jagged hitch of breath, he moves swiftly, methodically reaching for the cabinet next to the sink, its handle is cold and the coppery stench of blood has already overwhelmed his senses, this was a horrible idea.
(no matter what, someone is still there to listen.)
