“Well, if it isn’t Phainon of Okhema.” The drunkard previously speaking with the bartender interrupts, his words slurring under the intoxication. “The face that launched a thousand ships.” He chuckles a little and raises his cup in a motion to cheer Phainon’s name.
“Quiet now, you don’t want Lady Aglaea knocking on your door now, do you?” The barkeep shushes.
“Then let her come! Why shouldn’t we be able to speak about it?” He raises his voice indignantly. “She’s a coward, f–for still protecting this man! She should’ve just thrown him to the Kremnoans instead of the councilors. If the king wanted him so much, he could have him!”
Just a few days after the Okheman-Kremnos War has come to an end, Phainon wakes up in the Holy City of Okhema with no memories of his own and a dreadful reputation. In desperation to understand his past, he travels to Castrum Kremnos in search of his lost memories against all warnings.
This is the last part to 'To Slay a Tyrant' and 'To Save a Deliverer'.

“King Mydeimos.” Aglaea interlocks her fingers and rests her chin upon them. “I am willing to give whatever it is you desire in exchange for the safety of this land. I differ from those old fools in that I truly believe you have the power to triumph over Okhema and its alliance.” Her cloudy teal eyes stare at the king intently, and thin, golden threads begin to appear weaving through her fingertips. “We would not be having this conversation if your end goal was to simply conquer, I am stepping in because you have been wrecking nothing but destruction in your wake.”
“You have told me that I cannot give you what you want, I’d like to challenge that notion.” A thin smile makes itself to Aglaea’s lips. “I ask you again, King of Castrum Kremnos, what will it take for you to end this bloodshed?”
Years after Mydei ascends the throne and declares war on Okhema and her alliances, a woman by the name of Aglaea comes to bargain for the safety of her nation. She offers him the one thing he could not resist: The chance to see his bygone lover again and a journey to the Underworld to retrieve his soul.
This is the second part and the sequel to "To Slay a Tyrant".

"You only did it because I'm your soulmate…" He whispers, just barely audible.
Phainon stiffens, his hand falling to his side. "What?"
"You wouldn't have done that if we weren't soulmates!" Mydei roars out, his tearful expression full of nothing but fury, all directed at Phainon.
Phainon falls back on his knees, devastated and confused, a swirl of emotions he can't quite process. He stares into Mydeis bloodied face, a mix of red and gold, half of which he himself feels.
"You…you think so lowly of me…?" Phainon mumbles, hoping he's already passed out and this is simply a nightmare.
But Mydei glares at him, and he doesn't take back his words.
